What we collect
We collect only what you send us and what is needed to run the website:
- When you email us: your name, your email address, and anything you include in your message, such as your company and role.
- When you visit the website: our host, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address, browser, and the pages you request, to deliver the website and protect it from attacks.
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. Its fonts are served from our own domain, so your visit is not shared with a font provider.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to arrange and hold conversations about work you have asked us about, and to keep a record of those conversations.
Our lawful bases under UK data protection law are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and in running a secure website.
We do not sell your information, use it for automated decisions about you, or add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the providers that run our website and email, who act on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website.
- Our email provider, which stores the messages you send us.
Some of these providers process information outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact with you. If you become a client, we keep what we need for as long as we work together and for six years afterwards, the period in which legal claims can be brought.
Cloudflare keeps technical information for the short periods set out in its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it, or to delete it;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
- ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere.
To use any of these rights, email hello@drotta.com. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
